GLASS RECYCLED – a Texas company that creates environmentally-friendly floor and countertop materials from recycled glass and porcelain products – has made a significant donation to the American Institute of Architects Dallas headquarters.

Manufacturing a number of hard-surface products for commercial and residential use, GLASS RECYCLED has donated over 3,500 square feet of their patented GlassPLANK product – a terrazzo-like material that is easier to install, comes in unlimited design choices and offers a number of additional benefits over traditional terrazzo, granite, marble or tile flooring.

GlassPLANK can be produced in a variety of thicknesses and can be installed with a seam as small as 1/64” by any professional familiar with traditional installation procedures. The materials donated to the American Institute of Architects Dallas office – located inside the Dallas Center for Architecture at 1909 Woodall Rodgers in Dallas, Texas – is now installed and covers an entire floor at the facility.

According to Tim Whaley, Founder of GLASS RECYCLED and developer of the company’s patented process, “We are proud of our association with the American Institute of Architects and their support of our products and cause. GLASS RECYCLED turns broken glass, porcelain and mirror into stunning floors that are affordable for both homes and businesses. Every order is custom made from any combination of 13 different glass colors – each available in a number of chip sizes – then combined with a durable epoxy to match any paint color. The final GlassSLAB product is beautiful and durable, requires no seal, is scratch resistant, requires no wax and can be easily maintained with neutral cleaners.
