Bendheim Restoration Glass® is found in some of the country’s most prestigious restorations, including the White House, Mount Vernon, and Monticello. Provided exclusively by Bendheim in North America, it is mouth-blown in one of Europe's oldest and finest glass factories, Glashütte Lamberts of Germany, and contains more than 70% recycled content. Slight distortions, occasional bubbles, pits and imperfections make it ideal for historically correct restorations of commercial buildings, homes, reproduction and antique furniture. The glass is available in two varieties: "Full" and "Light". Full Restoration Glass® is more distorting and accurately represents window glass made in the 17th and 18th centuries. Light Restoration Glass® is less distorting and closely resembles glass found in structures built in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Bendheim now offers both varieties of Restoration Glass® in safety form, laminated to 1/8” float (window) glass in compliance with today’s exacting building safety codes.
